ELCA Commits Additional $500,000 for Response to Japan Disaster

CHICAGO (ELCA) -- The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)
announced April 11 that it has committed an additional $500,000 to three
partners in Japan as part of the ELCA's continuing response to the
massive earthquake and tsunami that struck the northern part of the
country one month ago. Coupled with funds committed earlier, the ELCA has
committed a total of $740,000 toward response to the disaster.
