LUNDBLAD LUTHERAN RADIO SPEAKER ON THE PROTESTANT HOUR

CHICAGO (ELCA) -- The Rev. Barbara K. Lundblad, a pastor of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and associate professor of
preaching at Union Theological Seminary, New York, will be the Lutheran
speaker for the first quarter of 2002 on The Protestant Hour radio
program.
The Protestant Hour is produced in association with the ELCA, the
Episcopal Media Center, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the United
Methodist Church. Each half-hour program features a preacher from one
of the four participating denominations.
Lundblad is the featured speaker on broadcasts planned for Jan.
20, Feb. 24 and March 24, which is Palm Sunday on the Western Christian
church calendar.
Ordained in 1980, Lundblad served as pastor of Our Saviour
Atonement Lutheran Church (Manhattan), New York, and as campus pastor
for Lehman College (Bronx) and New York University. She made her first
appearance on The Protestant Hour in 1984 and has been a frequent
speaker on the program.
The Protestant Hour has been broadcast across the United States
continuously for 57 years. During 2002, the program will be added to
the airwaves by Armed Forces Radio and in the Houston area by KKHT (1070
AM).
