Constance Parvey, pioneer, ELCA pastor, ecumenical leader, dies

CHICAGO (ELCA) -- The Rev. Dr. Constance F. Parvey, a retired pastor
of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and one of the first
women ordained in the Lutheran Church in North America, died May 21 at
her home in Cambridge, Mass. after an illness.
