Title: THE LUTHERAN'S LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

THE LUTHERAN'S LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

The 11,000 congregations of the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in America have a new way to
get the church's magazine, The Lutheran,
into the hands of their lay leaders.
Augsburg Fortress, publishing house of the
ELCA, announced March 1 that the Leadership
Program would allow congregations to
identify about 25 people -- church staff,
council members, committee chairs and other
key leaders who "make things happen" in the
church -- to receive the monthly magazine at
their homes for $9.50 per year or 20 percent
off the regular subscription rate. James
Huber, manager of Augsburg Fortress
editorial and circulation services, said The
Lutheran developed the subscription program
based on suggestions from congregations to
provide lay leaders with resources that
assist them in their ministry.
