ELCA Presiding Bishop Asks Indonesian Leader to Protect Religious Freedom

CHICAGO (ELCA) -- In response to attacks against Christians in
Indonesia and efforts to prevent them from worshiping, the presiding
bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) has asked the
country's president to uphold constitutional principles and refrain from
inhibiting freedom of religion for any religious community, especially
Christians.
