LDR/LSS Minnesota is coordinating Lutheran relief efforts following
devastating tornadoes in Southwest Minnesota, including the town of St.
Peter. Initial reports are of heavy damage and at least one fatality, as
well as damage to Gustavus Adolphus College.
Staff persons from LDR/LSS are in the affected area today, although the
town of St. Peter is apparently still sealed off as of this writing.
Melanie Josephson is the LDR statewide coordinator for LSS Minnesota. The

Contributions for emergency relief may be sent to ELCA Domestic Disaster
Response/ PO Box 71764/ Chicago/ IL 60694-1764. Volunteer and supply needs
are not known at this time.
